Support for Sandbox customers impacted by Saskatchewan and Manitoba wildfires

Wildfires across the prairies have displaced thousands and led to Saskatchewan and Manitoba declaring states of emergency. At Sandbox, we understand this is an incredibly difficult time. We want you to know that we're here for you—our top priority is the safety and peace of mind of our customers and their families.

You can stay informed with up-to-date wildfire information from the Government of Saskatchewan or the Government of Manitoba.

Your evacuation-related expenses may be covered

If you have a home, tenant or condo insurance policy with Sandbox, coverage for evacuation-related expenses may be covered. This can help with costs such as temporary lodging, meals, and transportation.
Your broker can confirm what’s available based on your policy and help you through the process.

How to file a claim

We recommend reaching out to your broker first. They’re your trusted partner and can walk you through your coverage and next steps to get your claim started.

If you're unable to reach your broker, you can also file directly through us:

Policy protection during the emergency

Our Declaration of Emergency Endorsement is now in effect. If you’ve been evacuated or directly affected by the wildfires, and your policy expires or has a missed payment during this time, we will not cancel your coverage. This protection extends for 30 days beyond the end of the state of emergency and can be extended up to 120 days if needed.

Need help with your payments?

If the wildfires have caused financial strain, we’re here to help. We offer flexible options like:

  • Deferring a payment by one month
  • Spreading payments across the remainder of your policy term
  • Switching to a different payment plan without any extra fees

Please contact your broker to get started or call us at 1-800-667-3067.
