We are very excited to be growing our Sandbox Mutual Insurance team. We are on the search for a permanent, full-time position of Broker Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Technology, the successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and coordination of systems, rates and products used to support broker services.


As Broker Services Coordinator YOU Will Be Responsible For

  • Responsible for the analysis, research, design, and documentation of broker technology projects; coordinates and prioritizes implementation broker technology projects; determines testing requirements, develops test plans and provides frontline support for web applications, web content, third-party vendor solutions and broker interface.
  • Leads system processing changes in consultation with the Manager, Technology, including identifying coordinating, and communicating requirements; identifying and proposing solutions; and assessing, testing, validating, and implementing changes.
  • Coordinates, tests, and monitors the implementation of new products. Works with Sandbox Mutual Insurance departments and brokers to resolve any operational issues and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Acts as the liaison between Sandbox Mutual Insurance departments, brokers, and third-party vendors.
  • Performs quality control checks related to iSMI.
  • Produces broker reports and manages broker bulk changes in consultation with the Underwriting Liaison.
  • Assists in review of industry rate and coverages, in conjunction with analysis of Sandbox Mutual Insurance rates and coverages, to determine related updates to rates and marketing strategy.
  • Under direction of the Manager, Technology, works with Business Intelligence Department to ensure broker data developed is appropriate and relevant for decision making.
  • Under direction of Manager, Brand updates and maintains company website.
  • Monitors broker related technology trends and keeps management informed of changes affecting the company.
  • Travel may be required as well as extended travel (up to one week) to visit brokers and third party vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

What We Need From YOU!

  • Five (5) or more year’s experience in property and casualty insurance as well as in data mapping, CSIO standards, and computer programming is an asset.
  • A CIP designation and a diploma in a computer related discipline would be a definite benefit to this position.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management and decision making skills are essential.
  • Must have the ability to be able to juggle multiple projects with multiple deadlines on a constant basis.
