Canada Post Rotating Strike – Service Update
Due to the Canada Post rotating strike continuing, there may be a disruption in mail services from Sandbox Mutual Insurance. Your experience is our top priority. We’ve put measures in place to minimize any impact and ensure you continue to receive timely support.

What to Expect
Mail Services
- All incoming and outgoing mail will be suspended.
- This includes policy documents, registered cancellation letters, refund or claims cheques, and payments sent by mail.
- Once services resume, all documents that were unable to be delivered during the strike will be mailed out.
Alternative Delivery Options
- For critical documents, courier delivery may be arranged to street addresses (no PO boxes).
- Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis — contact your broker for details.
Use our new Self-Service Hub
Our Self-Service Hub is the fastest and easiest way to manage your insurance during this disruption. Once registered, you can:
- Make secure payments online
- Submit new claims or check on existing ones
- View and download policy documents (including coverage wordings)
- Update and manage your contact information

Your local broker can also access your documents and provide direct assistance.
Making Payments
It’s important to continue to make payments on your Sandbox Mutual Insurance policy to maintain your coverage. If you normally send your payments directly to Sandbox by mail, here are some alternative payment methods.
- Use internet banking through your bank’s website or app, choosing Sandbox Mutual Insurance, or Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance as the payee.
- Pay at your insurance broker’s office.
- Make an online payment through www.sandbox.ca/make-payment. This online payment service is available to all Sandbox customers.
- Make an online payment through our portal and website, depending on when your policy was issued. If you’re unsure, your broker can help.
Policy Continuity
We are actively monitoring the situation and will take steps to support policyholders in keeping their coverage in place. Should the strike create challenges with premium payments, we will review and adjust our approach as needed. In the meantime, the fastest and most reliable way to manage payments and documents is through our Self-Service Hub at portal.sandbox.ca or by working directly with your broker.
Watch out for scammers
Online scammers will often try to take advantage of situations like a postal strike to pose as a legitimate company contacting you via email or text. If you suspect you are the victim of an attempted scam, please reach out directly to Sandbox for further support.
